SUMMARY:“Liturgy After Vatican II” with Sr. Julia Upton, RSM
DESCRIPTION:April 16, 23, 30: Liturgy After Vatican II: Already, Not Yet and Not Quite                                                  \nOn December 3, 1963, more than 60 years ago, the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, the first document of Vatican Council II was published.  Since that time most of the way we worship and celebrate the sacraments has changed – deepened, matured.  It has shaped and reshaped our spirituality and even led us toward being a synodal church.  We celebrate what has already changed; can often be frustrated by the “not yet” and too often unaware of the “not quite.” Marcel Proust said “the real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”  Looking back sixty years can give us new eyes.\n\nThis program is in 3 parts.  Additional dates are:\nTuesday, Apr 23, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm\nTuesday, Apr 30, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm\n\nThis program will be presented via Zoom only. We encourage everyone to register online. Go to:  https://gacc.retreatportal.com Call 781-749-2155 ext. 300 with any questions.\n
