Groome, Ed.D."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Compassion of Jesus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With Irish charm, Thomas Groome offers us a deep and approachable look at Jesus. In a recent presentation at Boston College, Dr. Groome stated, \u201cCatholics need remedial work on Jesus, that carpenter fellow.\u201d He speaks of the historical Jesus and shares that scholarship tells us that the central theme of Jesus\u2019 life was compassion. Tonight, he will speak on the compassion of \u201cthat fellow from Nazareth\u201d and its centrality to his public life-it\u2019s meaning for the disciples, and likewise for all people of goodwill-regardless of particular faith tradition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This program will be presented in person and via Zoom.
